At recent meetings and other discussions with the public, the Town recognizes that there exists confusion when trying to understand the difference between a NYS Agricultural District and a local zoning district because both systems use similar terminology, establish geographic boundaries, appear on official maps, and may apply to the same property. Despite these similarities, they are separate programs administered by different levels of government for different purposes.
