At a recent meeting of the Town Board, members of the public expressed their desire to place conservation easements at his/her/their lot of record. The following resources are available to the public to help achieve his/her/their conservation goals:

• Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) was founded in 1989 to protect forests, farmlands, gorges, and shorelines in the Finger Lakes region of New York.  They have saved over 35,000 acres by creating public nature preserves and helping landowners to conserve their beloved properties. • Yates County Soil and Water Conservation District is a great resource and has significant knowledge about this issue. Please contact them at (315) 536-5188 or at colby@ycsoilwater.com.
